A haven of rest and relaxation, the hotel will offer total renewal just steps away from the city's numerous attractions such as Koggala Beach, Martin Wickramasinghe Folk Museum, Cookoo's Fishing Ground. The unique atmosphere at Club Koggala Village is reflected in every room. Accommodation in the hotel has a high degree of comfort, with air conditioning, desk, wireless Internet access (free), Wi-Fi in every room. In addition to a wide selection of recreation services offered by the accommodation facility, you will get many opportunities for entertainment. Club Koggala Village is ideal for those looking for convenience, comfort and coziness, as well as a convenient location in Unawatuna. We arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night, and were immediately accommodated in a bungalow on the first line, although we booked the standard.
Nice, but we only appreciated it in the morning. The room is large, in addition to the bed, there is a sofa with a coffee table and two armchairs. Then the unpleasant details of the room got out, the drain tank did not work normally, the socket with a burnt (smoke) adapter was uprooted and the shower cabin was in a depressing state. But, judging by other reviews, these problems to a greater or lesser extent are common to all rooms in this hotel. The main advantage of the bungalow is, of course, its access to the beach, its sunbeds and the view of the ocean. They are taken away every day, towels and water are added, figs are twisted for tips and flowers are laid out on the bed - a small thing, but nice. There is a TV, but we didn't even plug it into the outlet, the refrigerator freezes like it's burnt. After two days, however, the management remembered that we had a standard and wanted to relocate us, but we were already used to our access to the beach, so we had to pay an extra $25 per night minus the first three days (you have to pay for habits :-). As for the beach, it's gorgeous, but getting into the water
you can only go up to the knees (some people have it up to the waist:-), then sharp corals. But it is enough to bathe in the foam of the waves. In the evening, they watched how the turtle lays its eggs in the sand, after which it was taken to the ocean. As for food, probably everything depends on the hotel's occupancy. The first week there were few people, so they were fed meagerly (no meat, no fish). And only after they "found it", the assortment improved. This hotel causes mixed feelings, on the one hand, we had a good time, but this is not the merit of the hotel. Management is simply squeezing the last dollars out of the aging infrastructure.
