Pylypets ski resort

Pylypets is one of the most popular ski resorts in Transcarpathia, located in the picturesque Borzhava valley. This is both an ancient village with more than 500 years of history (founded in 1463) and a modern winter recreation center. Trails and lifts The resort offers a variety of trails with a total length of about 20 km: 9.5 km - easy trails 7.5 km - average difficulty 3 km - difficult Height difference is 464 meters (from 700 to 1164 m above sea level). There are 7 lifts, including a chairlift. A special feature of the resort is catskiing (climbing on a snowcat to the top of Mount Gymba, 1491 m), from where one of the longest descents in Ukraine opens (about 4 km). The season lasts from early December to early April, lifts operate from 9:00 to 16:30. Night skiing is available for extreme sports enthusiasts. What to do besides skiing The resort is famous not only for its slopes. In winter, tourists can: Visit the Shipot waterfall (14 meters, five cascades), which in winter turns into an icy fairy tale. Climb the mountains Vysoky Verkh (1242 m) and Gymba (1491 m) for breathtaking panoramas. Taste traditional Transcarpathian liqueur and buy souvenirs at the local market. The infrastructure includes hotels, cafes and equipment rental points. How to get there The most convenient way to get there is through the town of Slavskoye (distance about 25 km). From Kyiv you can take a train to Slavskoye, and then take a taxi or bus to Pylypets. Pylypets is an excellent choice for both experienced skiers and snowboarders and beginners, thanks to the variety of trails and cozy Carpathian atmosphere.
