Carpathian Cheese Factory, Mount Makovytsya, Yaremche

The cheese factory is located on the top of Makovytsia Mountain. You can get here on foot in about 1.5 hours from Yaremche or use the services of a jeep safari and visit this place as part of a mountain excursion. Essentially, this is a mini Hutsul Land (the one in Bukovel), only closer to the natural habitat of sheep and Hutsuls. Here you can see the buildings where the Hutsul family actually lives, the cheese maker’s house and the shop itself. Most likely, most of the products (cheese and wine) are not produced here, but all this can be seen, tasted and bought during one excursion to Mount Makovytsia. The place is touristic, so arrive around 10 am to enjoy the exclusive enjoyment of nature alone :-).
