boat safari on the Bentota River

2-hour rides for $30 on a boat along a muddy river to see small birds, monitor lizards, crocodiles and large flying foxes... and of course - this is the Mangrove Grove. Everything is quite predictable, but we always hope for a miracle - to see a big crocodile. What really surprised me were the flying foxes. On the previous visit (6 years ago) they were not there. The guides themselves are obsessed with birds (which are very small), but they listen to your wishes. Ours was persistently looking for crocodiles))).
