Codolar beach, Tossa de Mar

A microscopic beach right at the foot of the fortress tower, in a closed bay with a relatively good entrance to the water. At the same time, waves are present here and greatly disturb the water. Other troubles also happen; on our visit, the beach was attacked by red jellyfish. Add to this the sea urchins in the rocks and you get a picture of rescuers being called in with stretchers over and over again to pull out the needles. This probably doesn’t always happen, but the stones on the right side of the beach suggest such a situation. If you use this beach as a relaxation area after a walk around the city, as we did, then troubles will not affect you.
