Matala beach, Crete

The beach is located in a small bay. Here, for the first time in Crete, we met such a huge number of vacationers; there are not enough parking spaces. The beach itself is not big, and there are even fewer sunbeds. But we are even glad that we did not find a place on the main beach. Thanks to this, we were able to see the underwater highlight, which is hidden on both sides of the bay in caves under water. The water is quite cool, but the underwater world surprised us. And swimming into underwater caves, which are almost hidden under water, is a pleasure for a snorkeler. The only drawback is sitting on the rocks. To summarize, this is a paradise for a snorkeler, but not for a beach holiday (it won’t suit ladies :-).
