Cave of Zeus (Dictean Cave), Crete

The most interesting thing, in my opinion, is not the cave itself, but the donkey transfer to the cave. I won’t say that riding on horseback is faster, but it’s certainly more comfortable and easier (and only 10 euros). It’s better, of course, to arrive before 10 am (there are no tourist buses yet), otherwise the cave on the stairs will become crowded. I note that this is the first place in Crete where they required masks to be worn (I had to buy them for half a euro). Entrance to the cave costs 6 euros. Too hyped place, expectation and reality :-(. There are more interesting caves and caves in Crete.
