Temple of Hermes and Aphrodite, Crete

It is interesting to visit places that are not too trampled by tourists. You can only get here on your own, along a beautiful serpentine road. The excavations are apparently not finished yet, but the outlines of the buildings are already emerging. The area is fenced, but passage through the gate is free, there are benches under the trees in the shade. And of course the highlight of all this is a huge tree trunk with a hollow, I don’t know how old it is, but I want to believe that it saw the admirers of the temple of Aphrodite.
