Trieste city, Italy

I saw this city back in 1991, when liras were still in use. Our ship stayed in the port for only a few days, but during this time we managed to walk around its central part, visited the Sunday fair on the square (I almost bought myself shoes for 50 liras - a lot of money). By the way, the city is very similar to Odessa with its fountains and architecture. We were probably one of the first tourists back then... although Trieste is still not spoiled by them.
