Gemiler Island, Fethiye

We sailed to this place even before it opened to tourists, so all the ruins were ours :-) The ruins are interesting because from several locations there are gorgeous views of the nearby bays, where the sky does not look blue against the background of the sea. I think the best time to visit would be just before sunset. The island itself was apparently used as a port in ancient times; traces are visible from the sea with the naked eye.
