Tlos ancient city, Fethiye

August is not the time for excursions, so I am glad that we did not have to walk through the ruins under the scorching sun as part of a jeep safari, but only listen to a cursory but informative lecture :-) And despite the assurances of the lecturer, local peasants should have long ago dismantled this city, piece by piece, over many centuries of oblivion, it is surprisingly well preserved. But I am sure that our people (young archaeologists) will cope with this task :-)
