Lake Koggala, Sri Lanka

The easiest way to get to the lake is by tuk-tuk from the nearby areas of Koggala and Unawatuna, which will be cheaper. You hire a boatman on the spot, you can bargain for $20. For this money, you will be taken on a boat for one and a half hours from one attraction to another, namely, you will be shown monitor lizards, birds, you will be taken to the island of cinnamon (played by a local actor:-), where you will be offered tea, and they will try to sell cinnamon itself. Next, you will visit the temple on the island, the only place in the county that was not flooded by the tsunami. And although all the entertainment is quite banal, the feeling of privacy and solitude brings a lot of pleasure.
