Dive Center UNAWATUNA, Unawatuna

Since my hotel is in Kogal, I didn’t have time to make arrangements in advance. I decided to take a chance and rushed in at 9 am in a tuk-tuk. The dive center turned out to be popular, they said that there were no free places (or rather, there were no extra guides). As the experience of Hikkaduwa has shown, one Sri Lankan guide can lead ten divers in single file :-) But here the co-owners are foreigners, so at first they resisted. After I told them that I was completely self-sufficient (just show me the direction :-) and wouldn’t cause much trouble, they agreed to push me into the group, for which a BIG thank you to them! The only thing that remains unclear is why for the first dive we need to go in full gear on the way to the boat, and for the tea break we moor directly at the dive center (maybe the ebb and flow of the tide is to blame for this). Underwater everything is clear, at first they look at your adequacy, if everything is okay they stop looking after you (I don’t like it when a diver breathes in your back :-)
