Conveniently located in Koggala, The Long Beach Resort is the ideal base for excursions to Unawatuna. The hotel is located 8 km from the city center and provides access to the most important sites of the city. To explore the sights and attractions in the area, you don't have to go far with the hotel's close proximity to Martin Wickramasinghe Folk Museum, Cookoo's Fishing Spot, Koggala Lake. The hotel's top amenities include flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, wireless Internet access (complimentary), non-smoking rooms, air conditioning to satisfy even the most discerning guest. In addition, you can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel's services. Whatever your visit to Unawatuna, The Long Beach Resort is the ideal place for a pleasant stay and relaxation. We stayed at this hotel in January 2014. We didn’t get there right away, but that’s another story. The view from the road is a prison. Layout - dormitory. There are tons of people. There is a catastrophic shortage of sun loungers. This is about bad. Now about good. Almost all rooms have ocean views. The food is excellent, a lot of variety even at breakfast. Big waves are a huge plus for me. There were accidents, legs were broken, but I personally didn’t see them just from stories. It takes a short walk along the highway to get to the fresh fruit. The selection is not great, but not bad. There are restaurants nearby, but the price tag is increased due to the lack of competition. There are currency exchangers. There are bus stops on both sides. In Unawatuna, a tuk-tuk costs 500 rupees one way, but if you leave the beach fights, they can take you in both directions the first time for 200, but you will have to fight off different offers. They are cheating us, do them too if possible - promise that you will take excursions - they are going for it (they will definitely take you on excursions with alcohol and fruit for practically nothing). Then just change the scourge boy for the second and third round. Take the bus - it's fast, cheap and fun. True, only in the evening, after 18 o’clock, the buses are crowded with locals, so it’s not comfortable to ride, and it’s very easy to miss your stop in the dark. The general impression is that this hotel does not deserve more than a three, but it has its own charm.
